So long to my little boys toile nursery with light blue and pastel green and even his light blue feather boa that hung on his door!

I have made the decision to start on Hudson's big boy room. I had a hard time deciding on what "theme" I wanted, then it hit me when I saw this article in an old Better homes and Gardens magazine. Those of you who know Hudson, know he loves dogs and especially his best friend, Lady (our yellow lab). So for the past month or so, i have been on the hunt trying to come up with all the elements I saw in this picture. The past few days, I have tackled the painting project. Wow, stripes are definitely a tedious paint job, but I love the result. I will try to post finished pictures of Hudson's new room!

I know, I am a week late on this posting! We had a wonderful Easter week-end. We started out Saturday at an Easter Egg hunt at my parent's church. On Sunday, we had an Egg Hunt at our church (which I'll post later) and then on to my grandmothers for lunch and an egg hunt, then on to my in-laws for dinner and another egg hunt! Hudson got way too much candy and doesn't understand why he can't have it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures on my camera of Easter morning and his church outfit! Hope everyone had a good Easter!

A Sunday afternoon

Sunday after Hudson woke up from his nap, I heard the back door open and him go out (which he did get in trouble for!) and I hurried to see what he had done and this is what I found, he had gotten into his closet and found his favorite pair of shoes (his rainboots) and proceeded to get into his sandbox with his Sunday clothes on and all!!! I couldn't help but laugh and take some photos.

The funny thing is, he actually got a compliment on it from someone and wanted to know where he got it!!

Enjoying my book.

This year Ryan turned the big 3-0! In order to celebrate, we decided to take a trip to Puerto Rico to celebrate. It was the first time either of us had left Hudson for more than one night, so we (more like I) were very nervous. Of course he did great at Cece and Big Daddy's house and didn't get spoiled at all. Ha! Ha! . We had a great trip except for the fact that I came down with Hudson's stomach bug the second day we were there. Luckily, I just layed under an umbrella at the pool/beach and got to read my "Stori Telling" book that I had been dying to read! It was very enlightening by the way. Definitely a good beach book.
