Well, some how i managed to get a picture of Hudson's new napmat, but not a picture of Hudson on the first day of preschool! I just made this and it was super easy, let me know if you need one for your preschooler!
I had so much fun decorating Hudson's room this summer. It has been such a fun project. I found lots of things from some random places. My new favorite place is the flea market! I found his dresser and a couple of the antique dog figurines there. My talented mom made his drapes which I absolutely love. I am still working on what to hang over his bed, I am thinking a custom painted canvas. Overall, I am really pleased with the way it turned out and most importantly Hudson loves it!
We didn't even tell him to do this, he just started picking the flowers and wanted to go give them to Nana.
Working a puzzle with Uncle Dave.
Another attempt at a family shot.
Daddy, Hudson, and Papa.
Everywhere we went Hudson was interested in petting everyone's dog.
He would go up them and ask if he could pet their dog.
Don't they resemble each other so much in this picture?
Playing with Daddy in the pool.
One of the best parts of the trips were our bike rides. We rented bikes for the week and would ride to breakfast or lunch everyday. Our favorite was getting up and going to get doughnuts from this local truck that was set up!
The blogging world is so fun and you meet so many creative people. One which I came in contact with is Holly Mathis at www.hollymathisinteriors.com. I have been so busy with orders lately, I haven't been able to focus on Hudson's room. Holly has some great ideas and will do all the shopping for you. We are still picking things out, but check out the link to see what we have come up with so far.
The start of Hudson's room- Painting the stripes .
So long to my little boys toile nursery with light blue and pastel green and even his light blue feather boa that hung on his door!
I have made the decision to start on Hudson's big boy room. I had a hard time deciding on what "theme" I wanted, then it hit me when I saw this article in an old Better homes and Gardens magazine. Those of you who know Hudson, know he loves dogs and especially his best friend, Lady (our yellow lab). So for the past month or so, i have been on the hunt trying to come up with all the elements I saw in this picture. The past few days, I have tackled the painting project. Wow, stripes are definitely a tedious paint job, but I love the result. I will try to post finished pictures of Hudson's new room!
Stopping to enjoy his candy bracelet he found! He had to hunt his eggs with bat in one hand and basket in the other.
CeCe, me, and Hudson on Easter Sunday at my Grandmother's house for lunch.
Hudson's Easter Basket!
Meeting the Easter Bunny at a distance. This is as close as he got!
I know, I am a week late on this posting! We had a wonderful Easter week-end. We started out Saturday at an Easter Egg hunt at my parent's church. On Sunday, we had an Egg Hunt at our church (which I'll post later) and then on to my grandmothers for lunch and an egg hunt, then on to my in-laws for dinner and another egg hunt! Hudson got way too much candy and doesn't understand why he can't have it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures on my camera of Easter morning and his church outfit! Hope everyone had a good Easter!
